There are several variations of the 4.2L V8. The largest difference being the use of Fuel Stratified Injection. Most version produce slightly different output, which is largely attributed to different ECU Software.

• Audi RS4 - Audi RS4 (B7), w/ FSI, 420HP
• Audi Q7 - Has same compression, bore etc as the R8 and B7 RS4 type engines. There are some noticeable differences with the engine layout.
